August 13th

On this day in 1946 English author, H.G Wells died, at the age of 79.

He is most well known for his books ‘The Invisible Man’, ‘The War of the Worlds’, and ‘The Time Machine’ – most of which were made into bad to really terrible movies during the 60’s and 70’s.

But for a more contemporary audience, think the time machine in that episode of the Big Bang Theory.
