July 30th

On this day in 1935 the first Penguin Paperback was published.
For almost 80 years this company has been providing the world with first editions and re-prints, of books that make you laugh and cry, books that have changed the world, the books that will be read for years to come.

With the technological age that we live in now, it’s quite a feat, and a lot of hard work has gone into it.
Relatedly, on this day in 1818 Emily Bronte was born. However it would not be until over 100 years later that her infamous novel Wuthering Heights makes it into the Penguin Classics range.

Thank you Penguin!
